Holocaust Survivor Speaking This Thursday

Towson Maryland Student Legislature, Tigers for Israel and College Republicans are co-sponsoring an event this Thursday.

Holocaust Survivor Deli Strummer and the American Soldier who liberated her, Captain William Robinson, will be speaking this Thursday, March 17th at 7pm in University Union, Susquehanna Terrace. This is going to be an incredible evening. I hope everyone is able to join us at the event. Refreshments will be served and you will have the opportunity to purchase a DVD movie that Mrs. Strummer made.

Shadow a Delegate

When I was in Annapolis a couple weeks ago with Brendan, we both stopped in Delegate Susan Aumann's office (who represents Towson). We were catching up and just talking about school and she mentioned that she would be more than happy to have a couple students go down to Annapolis for the day to shadow her. She would prefer a day, Monday-Thursday.

This is a great opportunity to really experience what a delegate does in a daily basis and learn the ropes and maybe make a few connections. If you know of a day you want to go down, let me know. It would be best for two people to go at a time and no more since she can't really have a big group of people following her around all day (even though it would make her seem really popular).

Meeting Reminder

Hey everyone! I just wanted to remind those who are a member of Towson MSL that we will be meeting on Thursday at 5pm in University Union Room 314.

We will:
-recap Spring LTI/IA
-talk about upcoming fundraisers at the Towson Lax games
-discuss running for COS positions at Annual Session
-debate legislation (any ideas for which bill to debate? post a comment!)
-find out where we want to do our community service requirement for the semester
-see if we want to do any social events
-look into hotels for Annual Session and approx. how many people will attend
